Extended hours for PANDA

What great news! A bonus in funding means that PANDA is now available to provide longer hours of telephone support counselling for women and their families during the perinatal period.

PANDA’s National Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Helpline is now open from 9am – 7.30 pm AEST. This is a 50% increase in operating hours.

The new extended hours mean more women and men affected by perinatal anxiety and depression – as well as their families and loved ones – can now access the National Helpline to receive the support they need. Women and men who work nine to five; people in Western Australia all year and those in Queensland during the summer; anyone who might have struggled to call the National Helpline during east coast business hours can now access the support they need.

That means more vulnerable Australians receiving specialist perinatal support from trained telephone counsellors and peer support workers who really understand how they are feeling and know how to help them take the first steps to recovery.
