Uncensored stillbirth

I recently found Natalie’s story who has chosen to share photographs of her baby, Eleanor, who was stillborn.  I cannot even begin to fathom the level of generosity Natalie has shown by sharing her grief with the world in the hope of helping other people understand what it means to have a baby who dies.

What she has done by sharing these photographs is so brave, but so so important.  Many parents are terrified of what they will see after they have delivered their baby in these circumstances.  What these photos show is that the babies are beautiful and perfect, but the circumstances of their birth is heartbreakingly sad. I am sharing her photo below, and understand that for some it will be too hard to see.

For those of you who are able, you can see beautiful baby Eleanor and hopefully through this be better equipped to support a friend or family member in the future, if they are faced with this same devastating grief. May Natalie find peace in her grief and be supported by a thousand gentle hands.
