When grief doesn't end
This is a really beautiful article describing the experience of “complicated grief”. As the article explains:
“Complicated grief is like a wound that doesn’t heal and can follow the loss of any close relationship. The risk of complicated grief is greatest — 10 percent to 20 percent — among those who lose a romantic partner and even higher among those who lose a child.”
I recently had a very odd conversation with someone who simply couldn’t understand how she people have a grief that just doesn’t end… I think this speaks to what that experience fells like, and why it sometimes occurs. http://mobile.nytimes.com/blogs/well/2015/02/16/when-grief-wont-relent/?rref=health&module=Ribbon&version=context®ion=Header&action=click&contentCollection=Health&pgtype=Blogs&_r=1&referer=http://m.facebook.com
